"Carol City Chiefs"
Thank You, Coach Walt Frazier, for coining this fraise. You have touched the lives of many warriors with the passionate deliverance of “It’s War Time”. Many will agree with me when I say “This phrase is empowering,” it sends volts of electricity through our spirit, mind and body all at once, switching Friday nights from “Game Night” to “War on the Field Night”. I can remember a story about the 1998 State Championship in Gainesville FL, Carol City Chiefs vs. Lake City Columbia High School and like every game he would walk very slowly in front of the line looking deeply into each player’s eyes to see if they were ready for “WAR” or ready to go “home;” but this time it was different because when he got to the end of the line and the last players eyes he looked into saw tears streaming from his eyes and all of a sudden a deep roar from the depths of Coach Frazier’ belly exploded “It’s War Time” and everyone else erupted and to be honest with you sometimes I couldn’t tell whether we were on a real battle field or a football stadium in those moments; sadly enough I have a bunch of other people that can agree with me as well. Now that I think about it; the other teams really didn’t have a clue as to the pressure that was headed their way and I kind of feel sorry for them because we played those four quarters just as if we were warriors on a battle field. I speak on behalf of every player that Coach Frazier has had contact with when I say “we value you as a man of strength, discipline and hard work.” Part of us still have those words burned in our hearts and will never let them go (we bleed orange black and white). This will only make sense to the ones that have experienced it!
Always in Love,
