Love Ignorant pt. 2
Love is a verb not a noun. A noun is the part of speech that is used to name a person, place, thing, quality, or action and can function as the subject. A verb is the function as the main elements of predicates, which typically express action, state, or a relation between two things, and that (when inflected), may be inflected for tense, aspect, voice, mood, and to show agreement with their subject.
Now all of this was stated to validate why Love can’t be descriptive toward inanimate objects but more so the result of a choice. I see and hear people use it wrong all the time especially toward vehicles, homes, clothes etc. and I ask the ones that I can; could the thing that you say you love, actually love you in return in the same manner you do toward it. Surprisingly enough the answer is always NO! This simply means that the worlds standard for love is beneath the word of GOD.
Matthew 6:19-21:
19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Carefully look at verse 21 where is states “there will your heart be also”, well if you don’t know; your heart (Spirit) is who you really are and it is what is used to “Love” after being trained by the “Holy Spirit” of course! But if your heart is set on the standard of the world, it is corrupted and you may never know it. Good people pave they way to hell!
1 John 2:15:
15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
It hurts my inner man when Christians don’t Love the way God desires them to. We are too passive in our “Love Walk”; we turn blind eyes and pretend as if we don’t see certain things when Love is saying “SAY SOMETHING” before they get comfortable in their ways and die in that state. We think that by osmosis people are just going to get it but in this era of life I find more and more how much responsibility we have to inform and warn others so that they may live and live more abundantly. I can’t lie and tell someone that they have a blessing coming and their lifestyle is jacked up. I will tell someone that is at least trying to get it together and not wanting everyone to feel sorry for them, that God will bless them because this is our reasonable service.
Love does not do the same thing for every situation. In fact it is imperative that we don’t because this is where familiarity takes root (familiarity breeds contempt). Love requires us to use Gods better judgment. If a person makes a mistake, we can surely forgive them and move on down the road but if this same person continues to make the same mistake religiously and being aware of what they maybe doing then the next response is not going to be like the first one.
Love does not condemn but it sure does do a good job of convicting.
1 John 3:20-21:
20For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
If you ever get convicted for anything, it simply means your spirit man is trying to warn you of something. So do not allow your flesh to get in the way and take offense/ condemnation.
Always in Love,
